In October we heard a thought-provoking talk by Dr. Edward J. Blum, Professor of History at San Diego State University. He discussed concepts from his recent book, “War Is All Hell The Nature of Evil and the Civil War”, where he examines 19th century America’s conceptualization of evil in the politics, people and events of the Civil War.
